Event Overview
The unprecedented innovation in computing technologies fueled by the digital footprints that we all as consumers, leave in the sands of cyberspace, could have a telling effect on individual privacy unless the industry collectively strives to embed privacy by design and achieve a positive sum game. The future that emerging technologies such as AI and Metaverse promises to bring, may give rich dividends to consumers but at the same time are transforming privacy threat landscape. Similar innovation is also unfolding in the data privacy space with development of privacy preservation technologies, such as zero knowledge proof, de-identification methods with minimal effect on data usability, federated learning, secure multiparty computation, while data privacy regulations are getting strengthened world-wide. Consent of an average unaware consumer is increasingly becoming meaningless as data use and sharing models are getting complex, and the only approach appears to be one of greater accountability on enterprises and use of PETs (Privacy enhancing technologies).
Infosys Data Privacy Office, in collaboration with IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) and ACC (Association of Corporate Counsel), is organizing a two-day virtual conference—Privacy Symposium 2022, to deliberate on all this. Join us to listen to privacy leaders, industry experts, legal counsels, research scholars, and CPOs who will share trends, emerging regulations, challenges, and best practices being implemented globally.
