Infosys Foundation Completes Renovation of the Tilak Nagar Police Station

Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Infosys, inaugurated the newly renovated Tilak Nagar Police Station in Jayanagar, Bengaluru. As part of an MoU signed by both parties, a grant of INR 1 Crore was disbursed for this project for which construction began in July 2017. The Infosys Foundation undertook the renovation of the main police station building, and the construction of a toilet complex within the same campus.

The inauguration was attended by Dr. G Parameshwar, Hon. Deputy Chief Minister, Govt of Karnataka; Smt. Sudha Murty, Chairperson, Infosys Foundation; Smt. Sowmya Reddy, MLA, Jayanagar, Bengaluru; Sri. T. Sunil Kumar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City; Sri. Seemant Kumar Singh, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru East; Dr. Boralingaiah M.B., IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South East, Bengaluru.

The Infosys Foundation has also completed the renovation of the Hebbagodi Police Station in rural Bengaluru and constructed a toilet complex at the Police Training School for women in Mysuru, which made sanitation facilities available to the annual intake of trainees at the school.
