Infosys Foundation Inaugurates the Infosys Foundation Block at Shakthidhama, Mysuru Towards Education of Underprivileged Girls

Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic and CSR arm of Infosys, inaugurated the Infosys Foundation Block at Shakthidhama, a non-governmental organization in Mysuru, Karnataka. Shakthidhama was founded with the twin objectives of educating and empowering marginalized women and children, with a focus towards education of underprivileged girls. Infosys Foundation had signed an MoU with Shakthidhama in September 2019, to build the Infosys Foundation Block.

The block, which was constructed at a cost of INR 2.5 Crore, was inaugurated by Shri. Basavaraj Bommai, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt. of Karnataka, in the presence of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra MahaSwamiji of Sri Suttur Math. Smt. Geetha Shiva Rajkumar, President, Shakthidhama and Shri. Shaji Mathew, Executive Vice President, Infosys Limited were the Chief Guests at the ceremony.

Along with academic infrastructure, the Infosys Foundation Block also includes a multi-purpose hall, a dining hall, kitchen, and library for underprivileged girls.

This initiative further adds to Infosys Foundation’s efforts to provide better infrastructure for the benefit of the society.
