Infosys receives top honors for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Practices

Infosys has been recognized among the Top 10 Best Companies for Women in India and Champions in the Most Inclusive Companies Index in India by Avtar, in association with Seramount, for its praiseworthy efforts towards promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at the workplace. Infosys has also found a place in Avtar’s the “100 Best – Hall of Fame” for being featured in the 100 Best Companies for Women in India for 5 years.

The BCWI Study has established itself as one of the largest and the most comprehensive gender analytics exercises for corporate India. This year, 351 companies across major industries, geographical locations and lines of businesses applied.

Infosys was recognized for advancement of women in the workplace through programs like Orbit Next – an intervention to strengthen the participation of women in technology and management, #IamtheFuture – a leadership program focused on developing women leaders, and #RestartwithInfosys – a program that provides opportunities to women returning after a break. Infosys was also recognized for inclusion of persons with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ and other strands of diversity, making it an inclusive workplace for all.

The Most Inclusive Companies Index is focused on helping organizations understand gaps in demographic representation, to provide data and best practices that can help strategize and implement DEI solutions.

Infosys emerged as a “Champion of Inclusion” in the Most Inclusive Companies Index after being evaluated on key segments like:

  • Diversity representation across the key strands of diversity including gender, generation, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ
  • Practices for fostering diversity and inclusion in recruitment, retention, and advancement of people from diverse groups
  • The culture of the company on inclusion
