Infosys Collaborates with Play Like a Girl® Australia to Empower Future Women Leaders
Infosys has collaborated with Play Like a Girl® Australia, a national leadership organization that empowers women and girls through sport, education, and mentorship. As part of this program, Infosys will fund fifteen fully supported scholarships for young women aged 15 - 30, providing access to leadership development, digital upskilling via the Infosys Springboard™ digital learning platform, and structured career mentorship. This collaboration reflects Infosys’ broader CSR commitment to creating inclusive pathways into technology and leadership, particularly for underrepresented communities, by combining digital access, mentorship, and real-world career exposure.
The scholarships will prioritize young women from urban low-income areas, Indigenous communities, and culturally diverse backgrounds, ensuring that opportunities reach those most underrepresented in technology and leadership. By building confidence, resilience, and career readiness, qualities often developed through sport but rarely translated into professional opportunity, this initiative aims to remove barriers to education and employment while strengthening the pipeline of diverse talent in technology and leadership.
The initiative will also track outcomes such as increased confidence, leadership capability, and career progression in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and leadership pathways. Infosys employees will also contribute as mentors, speakers, and role models, further embedding the company’s purpose-led commitment.
The program is being launched as a structured pilot with long-term scalability in mind. It will offer participants over 30 hours of leadership development, provide access to cutting-edge digital learning tools, and culminate in a career networking event hosted at the Infosys Living Labs in Melbourne.
