Infosys Metaverse Foundry Takes the Center Stage in PAC’s Whitepaper on ‘The Framework of the Metaverse’

About the Paper

The ‘framework of the metaverse’ is a white paper that believes we are currently transitioning towards Web 3.0 whose one possible manifestation is the metaverse. The metaverse refers to an immersive, virtual, 3D world in which individuals use their digital avatars to engage in various professional, social, economic, and cultural activities (e.g., playing, chatting, learning, creating in the 3D space, shopping, etc.) amongst each other. Peer-to-peer will be the standard in the metaverse, with transactions and other data being stored on a blockchain. The paper looks to explore the metaverse in detail. The lead analysts for the paper are Mopia Kamdoum and Dina Capelle.

Why Infosys has been mentioned?

The Infosys Metaverse Foundry combines Infosys’ expertise in different domains (e.g., AR/VR, 3D modeling, blockchain technology, IoT, 5G, etc.) to ease and fast-track enterprises’ projects relating to the metaverse. With this, clients can partner with the IT service provider to securely and efficiently create their own metaverse environment, deliver signature experiences in an existing metaverse, and bring advanced AI-powered data analytics and simulations to realize their aspirations. To achieve this, Infosys follows a 3-step approach.

The paper also talks about Infosys’s pilot projects of Virtual Living Labs and the Australian Open in detail.

Discover - The Discover phase is about understanding the value the metaverse can bring businesses and defining a roadmap on how to handle the subject in the short-term and the long term

Create – This phase is about turning ideas into reality. Defining the architecture of the designed solution and developing it to the MVP stage is the main goal, calling upon Infosys’ IT capabilities

Scale - In the final phase, the solution can be scaled once the MVP has proven its worth and potential. At this point, Infosys focuses on three aspects: security, automation, and change
