From jobs for life, through professions, to multiple professions in a lifetime, the career span of our workforce is changing. And with it the need for education to prepare our people to be not just problem-solvers but also problem-finders. This is the growing ask from industry, and in response educators are pivoting towards partnering with enterprises to figure the most effective ways to enable learners. The quest is to amplify students with skills – not just degrees – that will equip them for the future. The recent uncertainty has suddenly added the dimensions of urgent remote-enablement and distance learning to the equation. There has simply been no time to rethink education or train teachers to deliver in the new normal. Today, there is a great opportunity to reinvent new models of experiential learning and deliver powerful educational experiences by building consortiums including governments, academia and enterprises to drive purposeful reskilling. Technology will also be a big ally as we explore approaches for blended delivery of education.
That’s why you might find it valuable to join our webinar on Future of Education to build resilience and relevance beyond response to the crisis, and see how the ‘quick fixes’ can be turned into a sustainable and valuable approach.
