A while ago, boardroom discussions focused on whether the elusive promises of AI could be realised, but a lot has changed since then. From AI powered fraud detection in banks and intelligent claims processing in insurance, to smart logistics networks and personalised retail experiences, AI has embedded deep in the trenches of everyday operations.

It is no longer a question of whether we can achieve the full potential of AI; rather ‘how do we best leverage the power of AI and drive business value at scale?’ However, despite the best attempts, many businesses still need to catch up in their pursuit of AI excellence. Business leaders struggle to unlock the true value of AI due to a widening "data readiness” gap. Massive amounts of enterprise data remain siloed and are not ready for AI use. This challenge is further amplified by the rapid growth of unmanaged data outside enterprise hubs.

As AI evolves beyond rule-based systems into more adaptive, generative models, the relationship between data, talent, and governance must be reimagined. Success now hinges on building scalable data foundations, nurturing AI-specific skills, and crafting policies that enable responsible innovation.
