Infosys Foundation Collaborates with The Action Northeast Trust to Empower Bodo Youth in Assam

Infosys Foundation, the CSR and philanthropic arm of Infosys, in collaboration with The Action Northeast Trust (ANT), an Assam-based NGO, aims to preserve the cultural heritage and empower tribal youth from the Bodo community in Assam through structured training in traditional music, dance, and instrument-making. This reaffirms Infosys Foundation’s commitment to inclusive growth, community empowerment, and the preservation of India’s rich cultural diversity.

With a grant of over INR 32 lakh from Infosys Foundation, this initiative will benefit more than 550 children and youth annually, equipping them to become trainers and producers of Bodo musical instruments, souvenirs, and mementos that help generate revenue. The program is designed to preserve and promote Bodo heritage by blending cultural innovation with income-generating activities.

Serving as a hub for Bodo cultural activities, the Sifung Cultural Center and Heritage Village will provide structured training in Bodo music and dance to strengthen institutional learning, ensure knowledge transfer across generations, and foster new forms of artistic expression rooted in traditional practices.
