Infosys awarded the Gold Shield for Excellence in Financial Reporting at the ICAI Awards
Infosys has been awarded the Gold Shield in Category VIII – Service Sector (Other than Financial Services Sector) for Excellence in Financial Reporting 2024–25 at the ICAI Awards. The recognition reflects the company’s consistent commitment to high-quality financial reporting, transparency, and strong governance practices.
The award is instituted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), a statutory body established under The Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 by an Act of Parliament of India. The ICAI Awards for Excellence in Financial Reporting are among the most prestigious recognitions in the country, aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and best-in-class financial reporting across corporate India.
Submissions for the awards undergo a rigorous three-tier evaluation process, which includes a technical review, assessment by the Shield Panel, and final selection by an external jury comprising regulatory representatives, industry professionals, and academicians. The jury examines the accounting practices adopted by participating enterprises, disclosure policies, and the overall presentation and quality of financial statements and information contained in the annual report. The assessment is based on the degree of compliance with Indian Accounting Standards, statutory guidelines, and regulatory requirements, without taking into account the financial performance or financial position of the organization.
Infosys’ recognition with the Gold Shield underscores its sustained focus on adherence to the highest standards of accounting and disclosure. It reinforces Infosys’ commitment to compliance and robust governance, strengthening stakeholder trust and reaffirming its position as a benchmark for excellence.
