Infosys has won the 2005 award for 'Excellence in Quality' from Telstra, the Australian telecommunications and information services major. Infosys was chosen from over 11,000 vendors for the award, making it the first-ever IT services company to receive this accolade. Infosys is the only IT company to win the award in 2005.

Telstra determined Infosys as the winner based on a rigorous appraisal of its quality and ongoing commitment to developing viable solutions and providing Telstra customers with better value. The award recognizes the quality of Infosys' solutions.
