In regulated environments such as financial services, internal IT risk teams are focusing on ensuring QA teams are compliant to internal controls aimed at meeting external compliance rules. In this session, QA experts from UBS and Infosys share their experiences of establishing a standard for testing activities across the organization. They also discuss how to execute a cost- and time-effective independent assessment to internally baseline the adherence of QA teams to the testing standard. In this presentation, Richard discusses ways to address these expectations by providing outsourcing observations and recommendations from both the client’s and the outsourcing partner’s perspectives. This session will provide you with the lessons learned from past experiences and help you avoid or, at least, be better prepared for testing outsourcing challenges.

Allyson Rippon has more than 27 years of experience in leading transformational strategies in QA, service delivery and production support. She is best known for building large QA organizations from ground up in both the financial and medical industries. She is currently the Head of QA as well as sponsor for the Employee Council and Graduate Training Program for the Wealth Management Americas division of UBS.

Kiruba Shankar Vijayaraghavan, Principal Consultant, Independent Validation and Testing Services, Infosys

Kiruba Shankar Vijayaraghavan has more than 13 years of IT testing experience across industry verticals and technology. He specializes in assessment and implementation of Test Center of Excellence, and program management of testing for large implementations.

Richard Lay, Principal Consultant, Independent Validation and Testing Services, Infosys

Richard Lay is an IT leader with senior-level expertise in quality assurance, testing, software process improvement, vendor management, application development, package implementation and architecture. He has worked in highly “matrixed” and collaborative environments.
