JISC has funded four projects to investigate an enterprise architecture (EA) approach to service-oriented development at the institutional level through the application and evaluation of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF).
The initiative is a part of the e-Learning Capital Program, and builds on the program’s e-Framework aspects. As it has been recognized that Enterprise Architecture has wider application than e-Learning, this program addresses institutional architecture rather than just e-Learning.
Topic: Master Class: Applying TOGAF and the ADM
Date: June 25, 2008
Speaker: Sanda Morar, Senior Technical Architect, Infosys
The session helps you identify the relevant parts of TOGAF and navigate through voluminous documentation. It addresses questions such as:
- Where do we start?
- Is a top-down approach to EA the best one?
- Or is it better to dive straight into the details and build the EA upwards?
- How do you customize and extend TOGAF to meet your requirements?
- What are the challenges and learning from the speaker’s personal experience of using TOGAF?
Sanda Morar has over 18 years of experience in working on strategy, technology roadmaps, enterprise/solution architecture, delivery and management of large-scale projects. A TOGAF-certified practitioner and an active member of the Modeling Group of The Open Group, Sanda has a patent in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
