Session Details

Topic: From Strategy to Enterprise Architecture
Date: October 22, 2008
Time: 14:00 - 14:30 CEST
Speaker: Thomas Obitz, Principle Architect, Infosys

Session Description
Enterprise Architecture builds an organizational and technical landscape to help the organization implement its strategy. Understanding corporate strategy is the task of Enterprise Architects. But what does strategy really mean?

Strategy answers these questions:
a) What is the business of the organization? (i.e. how does it create value for stakeholders?)
b) What are the key issues facing the organization?
c) How is the organization going to respond to them?

The presentation will demonstrate, with the help of a case study, how to analyze the strategy of a financial services organization based on a multi-dimensional framework. It will also help you translate strategy into an enterprise architecture that meets its objectives.
