The International Seminar on Battlefield Management System is organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with the Directorate General of Information Systems, Indian Army. The seminar focuses on how technology plays a role in tactical battles by rapid acquisition, processing and transfer of information, enhancing situational awareness, acquiring the capability to react to information, sharpen the ability to synchronize and direct fire and establish an operational tempo.

The seminar will develop a system to help the Indian Army integrate the means of surveillance and engagement through an automated decision support and command and control system.


Speaker Profiles

Puneet Gupta specializes in mobile computing, wireless technologies and convergence of electronics, telecom and information technologies. He is involved in conceptualizing and leading market-driven research initiatives and solutions in pervasive computing, enterprise mobility, wireless and emerging technologies such as RFID.

Dr. Ashutosh Saxena's research includes Authentication Technologies, Smart Cards, Key Management and Privacy. He has written 'Public Key Infrastructure: Concepts, Design and Deployment' and authored more than 70 research articles. Dr Saxena was awarded the Post Doctorate BOYSCAST Fellowship in 2001-2002 for research on "Security Framework for E-Commerce" at the Information Security Research Center, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
