Date: October 20, 2011
This presentation examines a practical approach to manage and improve governance of the SaaS-based ITSM tools with a renewed model and specific focus areas. The enhanced user-experience offered by the SaaS-based ITSM tools has led to its large scale adoption by the end-users. In addition, business stakeholders and IT Managers are confident to achieve a higher Return of Investment (ROI) and keen on the prospect of deploying and automating various IT Service Management processes respectively. However, there is still opportunity for a more practical governance model of the SaaS-based ITSM tools that can ensure optimum risk mitigation levels and maximize business value. This presentation elaborates a governance model that can largely optimize the chances of success to rightly manage SaaS-based ITSM tools. The authors would discuss on the overall perspective of each dimension of this governance model and how it can be successfully implemented in global organizations. The session will also discuss specific lessons learned and emphasize on how to creatively apply the same in large IT environments.
