Subbarao Chaganty, Principal Consultant – IT Service Management, Infosys
Date: December 8, 2011
Time: 10:10-11:00 CET
In IT organizations, tasks are typically individual or group of activities related to achieving a defined objective. It may, for example, involve resolving an incident or fulfilling a service request such as provisioning a workplace asset or granting access. Several tasks in the infrastructure domain such as starting a batch process or stopping a server or increasing disk space follow a defined sequence of steps and are repeatable. The session focuses on ways in which definition of such tasks can be harmonized and integrate them closely with Configuration Management System (CMS) and CMDB in order to provide a consistent framework for Definition, Management and Execution of tasks.
Reusability, dynamic task management and enhanced reporting and visibility into task efficiencies are some of the benefits expected out of such frameworks.
Sasha Dolgy is extensively involved in the multi-year IT Transformation Project with a specific focus on the transformation of change, release, deployment and request fulfillment. He is responsible for defining and implementing strategy that integrates various IT automation concepts into a single automation framework/solution, providing the ability to combine manual and automation solutions into a single repeatable process. In addition, he is also responsible for IT Information model and IT Service Automation areas.
Subbarao Chaganty has over 13 years of experience in the IT industry. He has led and delivered several IT Service Management (ITSM) engagements, enabling value realization for customers through IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices oriented process design and implementation. He is responsible for designing and implementing the Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) roadmap at Swiss Re.
