This year’s theme is ‘Distribution Channel Management’. The event will focus on the quality of information exchanged between trading partners in emerging value networks. It will examine the role of collaboration and integration in enabling demand-driven, forecasting, planning, inventory management manufacturing and logistics processes across multiple enterprises.

This session will cover some of the trends and drivers that are shaping supply chains, making them more agile and demand-driven. The drivers of change include equal competition in Flat World, increasing connectivity and mobility, and environmental concerns. Some of the mechanisms for realizing virtual supply chains are collaborative approaches, unified communication between people and assets, and improvements in integration between companies.
Andrew Manning is an Enterprise Architect who has nearly 20 years of experience in developing process, data and functional architectures. He has used a range of architectural approaches, modeling techniques, methodologies and tools. He specializes in using models and architectures to achieve business benefit, support strategic alignment, integration, reuse and continuous improvement. This includes work on BPM, content management and portals.
