Unconscious gender bias thrives disguised as well-meaning comments, and
subtle undermining behaviors. Not because of malicious intent, but mostly because of outdated norms
and conditioning. These microaggressions, ranging from questioning women's competence to benevolent
sexism, subtly chip away at their confidence and potential.
#SpotItToStopIt is our endeavor to address gender bias and
#InspireInclusion. Our campaign, featured here, offers us all an opportunity to recognize it, not
just in others, but also in ourselves. To challenge assumptions, amplify the voice of fairness and
reason, and dismantle the invisible barriers holding women back.
Mansplaining is disempowerment in the guise of
support.
Casual labels, born from stereotypes, have a
belittling impact.
Diminishing women’s professional worth
sometimes just takes one word.
Tokenism does even more harm than
non-representation.
Benevolent sexism is sexism too. Just, more
dangerous.

Let’s take unconscious gender bias head-on #SpotItToStopIt
The pandemic has changed what women want from their organizations. They are seeking greater
opportunities to step-up to managerial and leadership roles. In situations where belittling
microaggressions - such as having their judgment, or their managerial style questioned - make it
harder for them to advance. Our campaign aims to provide people an opportunity to introspect and see
what we can do – as individuals, managers, colleagues, and corporate decision-makers - to make the
most of this opportunity – to advance gender diversity and progress in our workplace.
The theme for International Women's Day (IWD) 2022 is Break The Bias. Some of the most stubborn, most
debilitating biases that persist, despite us fighting the good fight, often manifest in rather
subtle forms. It’s easy to let them slip past us because they come to us camouflaged as friendly
comments, ignorant questions or harmless explanations. Our campaign aims to compel everyone to spend
30 seconds taking note of these slips, that so many of us are guilty of, so we can grow to be more
aware and of course less biased.
The theme for International Women's Day (IWD) 2021 is #ChoosetoChallenge. Choose to Challenge is
envisaged as an inclusive campaign that calls attention to preferences, behavior and action that we
demonstrate in the various situations and contexts that we navigate every day. It invites a deeper
reflection into the 'whys' of action or inaction, as the case may be, and urges us to consider a
different approach. An approach that will challenge the status quo 'positively' thereby facilitating
an unravelling of intent, behavior and action in a way that will inform and guide our everyday as we
navigate a larger 'purpose' with 'conscience
