Abstract:

Having safe, compliant, and reliable wells is the primary goal of an exploration and production (E&P) organization. Ensuring the integrity of wells, equipment, and other assets is critical to achieve this goal.

Collating data (anomaly data, production data, well header data, pressure data, equipment data, work order, etc.) from multiple sources to assess the risk profile is challenging. The manual effort involved, the presence of isolated systems, and difficulties with cross-referencing the data add to the complexity. This often results in incorrect determination of risk profiles for the well. Furthermore, presenting critical elements of the risk profile to gain leadership attention for mitigation poses additional challenges – especially for a global operator with thousands of wells (onshore and offshore) across geographies.

This presentation will talk about an integrated approach to managing well integrity related risks by extracting data from multiple sources. The approach will touch upon factors for determining risks and using advanced analytical tools to visualize the data. In addition, the approach will address presenting the risk profile of the wells in such a way as to elevate high risk areas for immediate leadership attention and additional insights.
