Dr. Vishal Sikka, CEO and MD, Infosys, will deliver the grand keynote on the topic ‘Rethinking IT services’ and Navin Budhiraja, Head, Architecture and Technology will discuss how the evolution of the chief innovation officer (CIO) in light of software-as-a-service (SaaS) and big data impacts everyone from entrepreneurs to IT.

Dr. Vishal Sikka

Dr. Vishal Sikka
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Infosys

Dr. Vishal Sikka is a whole-time director of the Board, and Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Infosys.

Prior to joining Infosys, Dr. Sikka was a member of the Executive Board of SAP AG, leading all products and technologies, and driving innovation globally. In his 12 years at SAP, Dr. Sikka was instrumental in defining the company’s technology and product strategy and architecture. He is credited with creating the breakthrough in-memory data platform, SAP HANA. He accelerated SAP’s development processes, bringing about a deep focus on design and user experience, transforming the company’s innovation culture, expanding engagement with startups and venture investing, and leading product incubation and co-creation with customers. He is the creator of the concept of ‘timeless software’, which articulates the principles for the renewal of products without disruption to customer environments. He is especially known for his championship of technology as an amplifier of human potential, and his passion for applying software in purposeful ways to address some of the biggest global challenges. His experience includes research in artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, programming languages and models, and information management – at Stanford University and Xerox Palo Alto Labs, and as the founder of two startup companies.

Dr. Sikka received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Syracuse University. He holds a PhD in computer science from Stanford University, USA.

 

Navin Budhiraja

Navin Budhiraja
Head, Architecture and Technology, Infosys

In his current role, Navin is responsible for defining and evolving technology strategy and architecture of multi-product and multi-industry portfolios practiced by large teams. At Infosys, he focuses on shaping and facilitating the technology strategy while being responsible for introducing the latest technologies and delivering technology and consulting services at a global scale. Navin started his career at the IBM Watson Research Center. He holds multiple patents in business process modeling and process integration, and has over twenty years of experience in engineering, design, and product architecture. His work experience includes being the Chief Architect at SuccessFactors (acquired by SAP), CTO at CubeTree (acquired by SucessFactors), co-founder and CTO at CoralTree, Vice President of Engineering at Center’d (acquired by Google), Chief Architect of Amazon AWS Flexible Payments Services, Vice President of Engineering at Augmemtum, and Chief Architect at Vitria Technology.

Navin holds a PhD in computer science from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India.
