Event Overview

The Oil & Gas practice at Infosys is pleased to announce that the official Infosys Team for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society MS150 bike ride on April 16-17, 2016. It is a marquee charitable event for our key Energy client, BP and many other clients who participate in huge numbers. Over 14,000 riders participate and raise over 20 Million USD annually, making it one of the largest charitable events in the country.

The event is a 180 mile (290 kilometer) bicycle ride from Houston to Austin, Texas that riders complete over 2 days with an overnight stay at a campsite in La Grange. We have 18 riders and volunteers representing Infosys at this event. While the riders invest most of their weekends and any free time for practice rides and fundraising activities, volunteers are investing theirs planning logistics and preparing for the event days to make it an awesome experience for the riders and Team Infosys.

All proceeds raised by the BP MS150 will be donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system (the brain, optic nerves, and spinal cord) and is considered to be an autoimmune disorder by the medical community. Though there is no known cure for MS, further advances are made in treating and understanding the disease every year.

The riders are doing their bit for the cause and Team Infosys has accepted an ambitious fundraising goal of $5,000. We believe this a reachable goal with support from fellow Infoscions. By donating to a member of Team Infosys you will not only be supporting your colleagues but also contributing to the effort to better treat and eventually cure this debilitating disease.
