Session Description

The oil and gas industry has weathered several highly-publicised disasters in recent times. From cyclones to oil spills, these emergencies have challenged us to respond quickly and comprehensively in the face of uncertainty and massive pressures. Mark Morrison discusses how the deepwater drilling industry has responded to these challenges by investing in robust asset management systems and integrating them for higher quality control to yield long-term competitive advantage after the crises. He shares a number of case studies, including examples from the recent events in the Gulf of Mexico.

Speaker Profile Mark

Mark has over 20 years of experience in consulting and marketing. For the past eight years, he has been responsible for building Infosys’ Oil and Gas practice and directing the strategic development of solutions to address the industry’s unique needs. Primarily focusing on upstream, Mark has presented at a variety of industry conferences and is an active member of several industry bodies, including PPDM, SPE and Energistics.
