The 12th International Conference on Distributed Computing and Networking (ICDCN 2011) is co-organized by Infosys Technologies and the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore. The event features a full day of tutorials/workshops on January 2, followed by the main conference on 3-5 January, 2011.

Sanjoy heads research and innovation in Communications, Media and Entertainment. He has over 20 years of technology experience: in End-to-End Protocol Design and Analysis, Mobile Wireless Networking, Quality of Service, Multicasting, Content Distribution, Media Streaming, Intelligent Caching, and Secure Commerce.
He has served as an Editor for IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, Guest Editor of IEEE Network Special Issue on Multicasting, Steering Committee Member of IEEE COMSNETS, General Chair of ICDCN 2011, IMSAA 2010 and COMSWARE 2007, Technical Program Chair of COMSWARE 2006, and as a Technical Program Committee Member of several IEEE and ACM International conferences.
Sanjoy has authored a book on Multicasting, published over 100 papers in International Journals and refereed Conference Proceedings, authored over 90 US patents (28 granted, 60+ pending), and is the co-recipient of 1997 William R. Bennett award from IEEE Communications Society for the best original paper in IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking. He is a Fellow of IEEE and a Member of the ACM
Santonu Sarkar leads Distributed Computing Research at Infosys SETLabs. He has 17 years of experience in applied research, product and application development, architecture consulting, and project and client account management. His current research focus is on Software Engineering (SE) challenges in Cloud and High Performance Computing platforms. Previously, he worked extensively in software metrics and measurement, software design and architecture analysis, program comprehension, and re-engineering techniques.
He has broad experience in building research eco-systems which involves collaborating with universities and other research labs. Santonu has been involved in various SE conferences including APSEC, ISEC, ICSE, ISSRE, and ICDCN. He has served as Reviewer for IEEE TSE, IEEE SE, IEEE TSC, JSS and Journal of Information Systems. Santonu has published several papers on SE, ODBMS, Object Oriented VLSI-CAD, and Expert systems in international journals and conferences like IEEE TSE, IEEE SE and the Journal of Systems and Software.
Santonu has filed several patents (one of which has been granted) in various areas of SE. Santonu received his PhD in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in object-oriented modeling of VLSI circuits.
