Organizations looking to adopt radio frequency identification (RFID) to improve their operations face significant challenges: RFID business cases are difficult to substantiate, RFID-enabled applications are in their nascence, and the operational and competitive implications are often unclear. Infosys’ presentation on Business Value Creation with RFID will explore the myths and explain the realities of where RFID can help with real world operational issues. The presentation will include case studies where RFID is enhancing process automation at different points in the supply chain, and suggest alternative paths for successful adoption of RFID based on a company’s role in the supply chain.
