Healthcare and Life Sciences

Infosys surveyed 152 executives from Healthcare and Life Sciences (HLS) firms with over US$1 billion in revenues across the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). The respondents were senior executives and leaders involved in cloud initiatives representing both technology and business functions.

The survey was aimed at understanding the cloud initiatives for Healthcare and Life Sciences companies. Some interesting findings from this survey:

• The top three drivers for cloud programs were emerging technologies (49 percent), data security mechanisms (43 percent), and higher system availability and resilience (41 percent).
• The top outcomes HLS enterprises expect when adopting the cloud include maximizing cloud capabilities (50 percent), enhancing customer experience (45 percent), and standardizing and integrating the technology landscape (43 percent).
