Helping students fulfill their education dreams
Arpan, the CSR wing of Infosys, Chandigarh has an annual sponsorship program where economically weaker students are identified and sponsored through school and college. The program started in 2014 when Arpan identified educational institutes which believed in providing quality education to all sections of society. Under this program Arpan conducts annual awareness to facilitate admissions of students to nursery classes in premier schools of Chandigarh.
Below are the highlights of the program:
- 32 students are being fully sponsored by Arpan across multiple schools in Chandigarh. This includes their school fees, uniform, books and transport
- 37 students have been admitted under EWS quota. Arpan sponsors other expenses incurred in education of these students, as well
- 3 girl students who were taught by Arpan volunteers are being sponsored through graduation courses including fashion designing , BCA and Home Science in top colleges of the city
- 20+ volunteers are involved in conducting regular evening classes for sponsored students to assist them in their regular studies
This program has come out as one of the most successful and has changed many lives and empowered many dreams.
