Infoscions step up for National Volunteer Month

Infosys Foundation USA worked with CSR Champions to celebrate National Volunteer Month

Richardson, TX

Richardson Infoscions volunteered at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas where they helped clean and organize furniture in the student workspace. At the Network of Community Ministries, they helped stock the food pantry. At Sci-Tech Discovery Center, they supported 400 elementary students with hands-on museum exhibits, STEM projects, and games.

Hartford, CT

Infosys volunteers worked with students enrolled at the Boys and Girls Club of Hartford to improve their projects that were showcased at the third annual Foundation-sponsored student STEAM Fair.

Austin, TX

Austin-based volunteers, participated in a community service initiative at the Central Texas Food Bank by cleaning their kitchen and packing, boxing, and stacking food.

New York, NY

15 Infoscions joined the Sanitation Department of NYC to enhance and beautify Washington Square Park by picking up trash, cleaning statues, and planting new greenery.

Raleigh, NC

The Raleigh office invited students from the Boys and Girls Club of Wake County to visit the office where they students were given a tour and heard from Infosys volunteers on the ‘Career Tech Panel’.

Seattle, WA

The lSeattle team participated in the Lake Wilderness Elementary School science fair to judge student projects and to provide students with STEM insight and feedback.

Indianapolis, IN

Middle and high school students participating in the “Infento Build – a – Thon and Riders Hack – a – Thon” traveled to the Indianapolis office for a weekend of STEM. Students built robots through code or manually assembled an electric vehicle that they raced in at the end of the day.

Providence, RI

Boys and Girls Club of Providence students took a field trip to the office for a digital bootcamp where they participated in a tour learning what the office offers and how this cutting-edge technology is demonstrated to clients and partners. Infosys volunteers also provided students with a ‘Career Tech Talk.’

Houston, TX

To further advance the Technolochicas program with long-time partner, the Televisa Foundation, local volunteers traveled to a nearby Technolochicas middle school classroom to participate in a ‘Career Tech Talk’ sharing their career stories and providing advice about how they can best pursue careers in technology.

Atlanta, GA

Local Atlanta volunteers partnered with their local food bank, Meals by Grace, where they created packages of food and household items for 80 families in need.

Infosys BPM Puerto Rico

Volunteers with IBPM Puerto Rico supported Niños Sonriendo, a local organization focused on raising awareness about abused children. These Infoscions collected funds to provide water donations to their 5K fundraising race.
