Creating Business Impact through training programs like Cultural Education, Deployment Focused Enablement & Digital Skilling

Investing in continuous learning and capability building is central to strengthening employee growth and business performance. Infosys delivers targeted development initiatives that enhance cultural intelligence, accelerate deployment readiness, and build expertise in future-focused digital skills. These programs are designed not only to equip employees with relevant competencies but also to create quantitative and measurable business outcomes through improved collaboration, faster project deployment, stronger client engagement, and enhanced talent retention. The impact of these initiatives is reflected in their scale of adoption, employee feedback, deployment success rates, and contribution to business value creation.

Cultural Education

The Education, Training and Assessment (ETA) team offers a comprehensive cultural education portfolio designed to build cultural intelligence across career stages - from fresh engineering graduates entering diverse workplaces to experienced professionals collaborating with global teams and clients. The intent is to move beyond cultural awareness to practical, workplace-ready competence - enabling employees to understand different perspectives, adapt their communication and behaviors, reduce cross-cultural misunderstandings, and collaborate effectively across boundaries. For freshers, the learning journey builds foundational cultural intelligence, strengthening awareness, adaptability, and communication skills so they can navigate diverse and global teams with confidence. For experienced employees and emerging leaders, continued learning includes an immersive milestone program based on the Cultural Orientations Model (COI), designed to deepen cultural competence, enhance communication effectiveness, and foster inclusive ways of working. Customized interventions further address specific business needs, helping teams translate cultural competence into stronger collaboration, more inclusive interactions, and greater effectiveness in cross-cultural client and workplace situations.

Quantitative Impact (FY2026):

  • Approximately 19K employees have been enabled on cultural intelligence, cross cultural communication, and workplace collaboration in FY’26.
  • Over 95% of those who have gone through cultural trainings have reported better ability to navigate culture and there is greater traction with their stakeholders.
  • Program participants confirmed that the cultural literacy and education impacted both new business and renewal of existing business positively.

Deployment focused enablement

The Education, Training and Assessment (ETA) team runs a deployment-focused enablement initiative that links skilling directly to business demand – ensuring that talent trained and qualified through structured programs is converted into billable, project-ready deployment. Working across service lines, the initiative aligns training pipelines to live demand signals and tracks every cohort from nomination through training, qualification, and deployment, prioritizing the placement of assessment-qualified talent against open positions. The intent is to move beyond training completion to demonstrable deployment outcomes – narrowing the gap between qualified and deployed talent, shortening time-to-deployment, and giving leadership a clear, quarter-on-quarter view of how effectively skilled talent is being absorbed into projects.

Quantitative Impact (FY2026):

  • Approximately 9.3K employees were trained through deployment-focused enablement across various service lines in FY’26, of whom 4,901 qualified through assessment.
  • Over 80% of 4,901 assessment-qualified talent was successfully deployed onto various projects in FY’26, reflecting tight alignment between skilling and live business demand.
  • By converting the qualified talent pool into billable deployment at scale, the initiative strengthened revenue readiness, reduced bench time, and gave service lines a repeatable pathway to match trained talent to client demand.

Digital Skilling & Skill Tags

The Skill Tags Program is Infosys' enterprise-wide capability development initiative that enables employees to build expertise in emerging and high-volume digital skills through structured learning pathways, certifications, and experience in working on client projects. Employees progress from learning and certification to project application, culminating in the award of Skill Tags that recognize demonstrable expertise. Employees acquiring Niche and Premium skill tags are also given various monetary incentives

Quantitative Impact (FY2026):

  • 90+ Skill Tags available, held by 88K+ employees across standard (56K+), premium (22K+), and niche (10K+) tiers.
  • 40% lower attrition among employees consistently receiving Skill Tag incentives.
