Hema Ravichandar

Hema Ravichandar, Group Head and Senior Vice President, is the global head of the Human Resources Development function at Infosys. In this role, Hema's mandate is to ensure that Infoscions of the right quality and mindset are identified, provided opportunities for growth and motivated for high performance. She leads a global team that is responsible for all aspects of human resource development. As Group Head, she is also responsible for providing HR oversight for Infosys group companies across the globe.

Hema is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and has several years of work experience both as an employee and as a consultant with several Indian and multinational corporations. In a study conducted by Business Today in 2002, Hema was identified as one of India’s top 25 young executives: the only woman to figure in that list. In 2004, she was selected as one of the six IT Superwomen by Dataquest, for a career-record that redefines professional managerial standards.

Hema has been actively involved in different capacities in various forums and committees both within Infosys and externally. She was the Co-Chairperson on the CII (South) HR and IR Sub Committee for the year 2003. She has also been on the Executive Advisory Board of the National HRD Network. Currently she is the Chair of the HR Council for India of the Conference Board. Hema has also co-anchored programs for the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and the Confederation of Indian Industries.

Under Hema’s leadership, HR at Infosys has achieved many milestones along the billion-dollar journey. Various awards and accolades at the National and International levels stand testimony to HR at Infosys being recognized for its leadership in people management.
