V Sriram heads the Asia Pacific Business Unit for Infosys Technologies Ltd. He is a member of the board of Infosys Technologies ( Shanghai) Company Ltd. and also of Infosys Technologies (Australia) Pty. Ltd. . He is based in Tokyo. He is part of Infosys' Management Council and its Tier 1 leadership. He has an MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He graduated in Electronics and Communication engineering from the Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Suratkal.
He is working with Infosys since 1997. He was responsible for starting the Infosys business in Japan and since then he has expanded the operations to cover Singapore, Hongkong, Australia and China.
In his prior job he has handled profit center responsibilities in the competitive hardware industry.
He has a total industry experience of 17 years.
He has been invited as a guest speaker in several leading public seminars such as the Business Week conference, India seminars organized by various prefectures in Japan, Okinawa IT summit among others. He also gives a guest lecture on International business at Indian Institute of Ahmedabad and Temple University Japan.

1985 - 1989 Worked as Specialist engineer in International Computers Indian Manufacture Ltd. (then Subsidiary of ICL UK and was a subsidiary of Fujitsu when Fujitsu took over ICL)
1989 - 1991 MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad
1991 - 1997 Wipro Information Technology ltd. A premier hardware vendor in India. Handled business planning, technology transfer, product marketing and sales for their computer peripherals business.
1996 - 1997 Regional Manager southern region
1997 - Entered Infosys as Business Development Manager, Japan
1999 - Regional Manager Asia Pacific region
2003 - Head Asia Pacific IBU Infosys Technologies Ltd.
