The bank serviced several online customers with a very broad geographical footprint but with a limited impact in mobile banking. New entrants into the payment market such as Payment Service Providers (PSPs), were eroding the bank’s share in the overall P2P Money Transfer market. At the same time, other large banks were rolling out iPhone®-based mBanking products which impacted its competitive differentiation among the younger generation.
Infosys conceptualized and implemented the next-generation Infosys mBanking solution. Based on mobile-Web technology, this solution was designed to work on multiple devices. The Infosys solution enabled a segment of the bank’s online services available on several leading mobile platforms.
