Challenges & Solutions

One of the fundamental imperatives of NextGen Application Management is to move from reactive and manual intensive operations to proactive, predictive, and highly automated operations. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are key to managing issues proactively. AI / ML models learn from the past and proactively detect anomalies before impacting business. They also recommend remediation solutions to prevent the incidents from occurring. The platforms Zero Touch and Resilient solution pathways bring this power of AI / ML into operations to achieve agility and resilience to the application landscape. The platform brings in self-healing capabilities through synthetic monitoring, predictive analytics, and cognitive automation.

The platform provides the ability to sense disruptions by connecting to every tool in the scope of problem using out-of-the-box 30+ connectors. Additionally, it uses Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles through its Resilient application management approach to proactively monitor and correlate alerts, issues, incidents, and errors to detect the problems before hand and prevent disruptions. In the case of an incident occurrence the same could be quickly remediated digital workers created by assembling microbots together from the repository of 20K+ microbots available from the home-grown bot repository integrated with the Cognitive automation studio of the platform. The anomalies that can neither be prevented nor automatically resolved are then passed on to support engineers as proactive alerts and nudges for further action.

We have observed most of the application management teams focus only on solving the IT issues at hand and not understanding full picture of business. Our business aligned application management approach aligns the business KPIs and business processes to underlying IT components. The platform uses disruption analysis, process mapping and failure point analysis to not only identify root cause, but to give plausible impact on business processes and business KPIs. This not only helps the Application Management teams to speed up the root cause analysis (RCA) and to prioritize their efforts to address the potential disruptions or incidents to minimize the business impact and improve the business outcomes.
