The Solution

The scope of this release included over 300 legal entities, all countries, and over 9200 users with SAP S/4HANA becoming the book of records.

The transformation involved changing the client’s core financial elements such as profit centers, cost center, accounts, bottler locations, vendors, and customers, and implementing a new financial consolidation system. This set the foundation for a phased rollout of supply chain processes with Central Finance (CFIN) acting as the platform for underlying replication and error correction infrastructure.

Keeping both ERP Central Component (ECC) and CFIN SAP S/4HANA running in parallel provided adequate time for migration and deployment of complex business processes and integrations with third party systems.

SAP S/4HANA, CFIN, and CPAY implementation in multiple countries

  • Migrated business processes from a 20-year legacy system to the new platform to enable agility and innovation
  • Simplified communication management and integration with banks which helped automate outbound payment processes to 75 countries
  • Rationalized and simplified finance master data objects including key and value mapping
  • Enabled SAP Fiori to generate analytical reports for key financial transactions and KPIs
  • Adopted the agile methodology to complete builds in multiple sprints resulting in faster release for testing and the ability to incorporate changes in requirements
