Historically, supply chains of organizations faced only localized or regional disruptions due to multiple factors beyond any control. However, the ongoing pandemic posed not only the most global but also the most profound challenge to supply chain management (SCM) ever witnessed in a connected world.
Sreekumar Sreedharan, Vice President and Delivery Head, Oracle Services, Infosys has authored an article titled, ‘Establishing Supply Chain Excellence in the Post-Pandemic World’ which highlights the disruption brought on by the pandemic on supply chain management. It has been published in the Indian Retailer publication.
The article further talks about how SCM cloud applications, which are available in a software-as-a-service model, would help optimize supply chain management by being more predictive, prescriptive, and insight-driven.
