Infosys Private Network for Enterprises
Overview
Public wireless networks are designed for individual consumers and are not built with the diverse needs of enterprises in mind. As a result, enterprises are forced to use wired networks or alternate wireless communication systems that are costly and difficult to maintain.
A private network on 4G or 5G can be deployed in an unlicensed and licensed spectrum. Infosys Private Network will ensure enterprises get high bandwidth, low latency, and reliable wireless connectivity. They will be able to add versatile use cases such as 4K/8K streaming from multiple points, thousands of sensors, and IoT devices. It will also enable Network Edge Compute (NEC), Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC), and advanced IIoT use cases, which require low 10-millisecond latency and high data reliability.
The Infosys Private Network platform is built with best-in-class OEM products that provide value aligned with the requirement. It is a combination of a cloud-hosted platform and an on-premise appliance solution. Infosys and its partners offer private wireless solutions as managed services for small, medium, and large-scale enterprises.
It combines the engineering and networking expertise of Infosys with market-leading private network solutions providing the choice of ‘private-only,’ ‘public-only’, and ‘hybrid-cloud based’ network deployment options. It addresses both indoor and outdoor use cases for industrial manufacturing, transportation/logistics, energy and utilities, hospitality, large arenas or campuses, and healthcare.
We offer three types of enterprise deployments depending on the enterprise needs:
- On-premise
- Distributed cloud – data breakout
- Cloud-based – RAN on-premise
The platform is built using carrier-grade components to deliver a private wireless network as a service to customers. Enterprises can order a network that is optimized for the cost through extreme automation, centralized management, and a plug-and-play model with a few clicks.
