Infosys positioned in Winner’s Circle of HfS Blueprint Report on PLM services
The HfS Blueprint Report on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Services has reviewed the PLM services market for planning, implementation, managing, and optimizing services across software applications. The PLM software applications covered in this report caters to companies that include Autodesk, Dassault Systèmes, Oracle, PTC, SAP, and Siemens. In this research, 13 PLM service providers are evaluated.
Acknowledging Infosys and its endeavor, this research states “Infosys Has Vision of Digital Thread” and elaborates, “Infosys has a strong vision for a possible disruption in PLM services by cloud, mobility, and IoT technologies. It is investing in solutions that will help its clients accelerate their journey to the digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 solutions leveraging digital thread.”
In the section, “What is Next in PLM,” the research report states that Digital PLM will grow and further stated, “…Infosys which is investing in digital solutions and using them to enter traditional PLM heavy sectors such as automotive and aerospace.”

Strong delivery capability along with flexibility: Infosys has shown strong delivery capability across the PLM value chain with case studies and references reflecting the same. Its
PLM Offerings are competent in industry verticals such as industrial equipment, electronics, medical devices, retail, and CPG. Among PLM software packages, it is particularly adept in Dassault, Siemens, PTC, and Oracle. The reference clients are specifically happy about the project implementation, processes, and flexibility of Infosys.
Vision of digital thread and investments: Infosys has a strong vision for a possible disruption in PLM services by cloud, mobility, and Internet of things (IoT) technologies. It is investing in solutions that will help its clients accelerate their journey to digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 solutions by leveraging digital thread. It intends to be among the top three PLM service providers and is making investments towards this goal. Some of its investments are in digital thread, product compliance, and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) solutions.
Tools and accelerators: Reference clients have confirmed they prefer Infosys over other service providers in the request for proposal (RFP) process. Its tool and accelerators have reduced some of their tasks from weeks to hours.
Geographical spread: Infosys has strong geographical spread with over 20 PLM delivery centers covering all major regions, including North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
Fast growth: Infosys has achieved fast growth in the last few years, both on the revenue front and on the client count.
HfS Research explains Winner’s Circle as that player who exhibits “Collaborative relationships with clients, services executed with a combination of talent and technology as appropriate, and flexible arrangements” on the execution front. It is a player who exhibits “Articulate vision and a ‘new way of thinking,’ with recognizable investments in future capabilities and strong client feedback to drive new insights and models,” on the innovation front.
